Amy Carter, born on October 19, 1967, is the daughter of Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States, and his wife, Rosalynn Carter. She grew up in the public eye during her father's presidency from 1977 to 1981. As a child in the White House, she was known for her pigtails and her pet Siamese cat, Misty Malarky Ying Yang. Amy attended public schools in Washington, D.C., including the esteemed Hardy Middle School during her time at the White House.
